The Lusitano horse enjoys worldwide recognition. It is famous for its intelligence, size, tameness and courage. Real Coudelaria de Alter was founded in 1748 under D. João V ruling period, in order to breed horses for the Royal Stud Farm. In 1942, the Lusitano horse began to be recovered. Here you can observe the animals, watch horse riding shows and be acquainted with the history of these remarkable animals.
