Built around 1573 in a place where a previous similar construction existed, this fort was violently attacked by English pirate Francis Drake. This triangular shaped fortress was built to protect local fishermen. It housed an hermitage dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Guia. In present day, only few wall foundations are to be seen.
