The Quality associated to the functionality of this type of handicraft has justified its preservation, particularly that of the Bulky Basketware. This type of basketware comprises the various types of "Cestos de Trabalho" (work baskets), used in agriculture and in fishing. These are made of chestnut tree, oak, australia or willow wood. They are robust and their shape is specific for their function. Another feature is the simple wood used. Most of the times the wood is just broken and other times the shell is turned to the outside of the basket.
