The Geological Interpretation Centre of Canelas, in the outskirts of Arouca, is located in the village of Canelas, by the river Paiva. Here visitors can see some of the largest known fossils of trilobites. The building is expected to house an ambitious project in the future, aimed at the establishment of Arouca Geopark.
