Dating back to the 12th century, this temple is regarded as one of the most beautiful and well-kept Portuguese examples of a fortress-church. Its architectural style is the living proof of the troubled era of its construction, characterised by constant wars.

Observations: National Monument. It is a unique temple in the Romanesque style where the initial body of the building forms a tower topped of with a belfry with eight windows. Inside there are two columns which are the internal supports of the tower. The portal has several archivolts with decorated capitals.
