This is a particularly interesting archaeological site, since it helped unveil the secrets of Roman occupation in Minho region from the fist millennium BC. There are remains of houses of the former village at the top of the mountain and on the east slope, as well as three wall lines, one of them with a battlement and a stone pavement. A highly valuable artistic statue of a warrior was found here. Its meaning remains a mystery, although some authors argue that it represents mythical ancestors or princes who ruled this territory. This land may have been occupied until the 3rd century AD. (National Trust Building)
