This Franciscan convent was built in the 17th and 18th centuries. The church has an admirable Baroque façade with a portal surrounded by columns, gilt carved wood altarpiece in the main altar with the image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição and side altars dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Monte Caramelo and Saint Anthony in the interior. The vast gardens that surround this convent, converted into an inn, are also among its main highlights.
