Former Royal Stud, it was founded in the reign of King John V in 1748 to breed horses for the royal horsemanship. After being refurbished, it has recovered the Lusitano horse, Alter Real breed, while ensuring the continuation of the Alter breed, a horse with remarkable qualities for haute école. In this stud there is a training school, a museum and falconry.
