The Crystal Palace was originally built for the 1865 World Exhibition. It was an imposing iron and glass construction, demolished in 1951. By this time, the Sport Pavilion was erected, lately called Rosa Mota Pavilion as an homage to this prestigious athlete born in Porto. The involving garden dates back to the end of the 19th century, projected by architect Émile David. Inside Crystal Palace gardens, we will find the rose garden, presenting elements of the artistic heritage of the city.
