Church Santa Maria de Marvila is classified as National Monument. King D. Manuel ordered renewal works, carried out by João de Castilho. It has three naves defined by Ionic columns. In the inside, you will find an outstanding tiling work that granted this church the epithet “tile cathedral”. In the main chapel, there are vaults with many filaments, along with ornaments decorated with crosses and armillary spheres.
