Holy Spirit Feasts are mostly famous for the ornamented ox carts, as well as for all the entertainment and colour. They are the most traditional feasts in the island and in the whole archipelago. Their origins date back to the 13th and 14th centuries under the ruling period of King D. Dinis. The greatest highlight of this feast is the Emperor’s coronation, followed by gift distribution among participants.
