Opened to the public since July 25th 1999, Knowledge Pavilion is integrated in the Live Science Network. During World Exhibit Expo’98 in Lisbon, this was the Pavilion of Sea Knowledge projected by architect Carrilho da Graça. This interactive science and technology museum seeks to make science accessible for all by stimulating the exploration of the physical world and scientific experiments. The permanent exhibit is divided in four main themes: “Exploratorium” dedicated to scientific experiences; “See,Make,Learn!” – the main goal is to provide visitors an interaction with the 66 modules; “Unfinished House” – children build houses that fit them; and “Live Maths”. The museum has a cybercafé, a multimedia library, a bookshop and a shop.
