This impressive limestone crest is visible from far, both from the Alte side and from the Salir side. It is approximately half way from these two localities (via EN124), and it is a vast limestone massif, 479 metres high. From the top one can see a vast area of the coast, as well as sceneries of the mountainous area of the Algarve. The formations created by erosion are one of the attractions of this place classified as a haven for birds of prey.
