Castro de São Lourenço is a Protohistory fortified village, later occupied by the Romans, where you can still observe several construction stages. It has three wall lines and a residential zone. Along with Neiva castle, this fort hill played a major role in the social and political development of this region. Apart from its heritage interest, it is also a wonderful viewpoint of the region, offering a view over Cávado river and the coastline plain. (National Trust Building)
