Description of the place: Vilarinho Seco is one of the best-preserved villages of Barroso region, situated in the surroundings of Alturas do Barroso on the slopes of Barroso Mountain. This village has many granite granaries, houses with thatch roofs and some of the inhabitants still wear traditional costumes. At the heart of the village you will find a magnificent example of popular architecture: a square with a community tank, a Calvary and a chapel. The main street has an arch on top, which is an upper layer that connects the houses to livestock enclosures. The far-reaching Alto Rabagão reservoir, located in the surroundings, is also worth visiting.
