Observations: In this region, "Terras de Miranda", characteristic artefacts are the saragola and burel clothes and the tanning of leather.

Description of the place: This village of farmers and shepherds is famous for its typical folk group – the “Pauliteiros” – representing the culture of Miranda do Douro, as well as its dances, songs, dialect and traditions. The village has a Romanic church and a grave with vestiges of rock art, Sopalha Rock Shelter. The landscape is particularly impressive here, especially the huge granite blocks known as “fragas” (cliffs). Also worth mentioning is the beautiful Duas Igrejas railway station of the former Sabor line, now deactivated. This railwaystation presents tile panels depicting rural life and local traditions.

Points of interest: Roman Igreja Matriz; caves with rupestrial remains; Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte
