The Fair of St. Iria or of Raisins began as a fair for pedlars and shopkeepers, grocers, goldsmiths, shoemakers, potters, and fishmongers. Today, it remains the sale of raisins both of fig and grape and also other dried fruits such as walnuts, chestnuts and almonds. The celebrations end with a Mass and a procession in honor of the patron saint.
