This celebration is in honor of those involved in typical occupations in Ribatejo, related with bullfighting as the `forcado`, or the cattle herder or cowboy, the `campino`, and the worker in the salt ponds, the `salineiro`. This is a good opportunity to watch the traditional start of the race and bulls in the streets, dancing to folk dancing and eating sardines. It is worth highlighting the procession by land and sea in which the image of Our Lady of Life comes to town on board of the Alentejo typical vessel.
