The Park is located among rocks, caves, plants, animals and lakes, all to be found in these 38,900 acres, spread by the municipalities of Porto de Mós, Alcobaça, Alcanena, Rio Maior, Santarém, Torres Novas and Ourém. The nature of the limestone soil is conducive to the existence of such rare karst formations as caves, abysses, sinkholes or valleys. The park also contains several underground rivers that originate galleries and small caves. In addition to exploring the caves, you can still ride a donkey, or watch the manufacture of blankets and rugs by craft businesses.
