The Museu da Tapeçaria de Portalegre - Guy Fino was inaugurated on the 14th of July 2001 and is installed in the Palácio Castelo Branco which was recovered by the architect Fernando Sequeira Gomes. Although the Point of Portalegre was created by Manuel Carmo Peixeiro, at the end of the 20`s, it was through the impulse of Guy Fino that the Firma Tapetes de Portalegre evolved. Many painters saw their work reproduced for example: Luçart, Le Corbusier, Almada Negreiros, Graça Morais, Menez, Júlio Pomar, Vieira da Silva, among others.
