The "Lagar Municipal - Centro de Investigação Gastronómica" is a centre opened in March 2004, resulting from the recovery of an ancient olive oil mill located near Ponte Nova, in Celorico da Beira. It aims at collecting, studying and promoting traditional local recipes, and displays ancient objects belonging to the mill that once existed here. With a restaurant, bar and terrace, it offers a friendly and exquisite atmosphere to those coming here willing to experience flavours and dishes from other times, which are not easy to find nowadays.
