Maceira factory, locate south from Leiria, was pioneer of cement production in Portugal, already in the first 20th century decades. Opened in 1991, next to the factory, this museum reveals the history of this industry in Portugal. It also covers the first factory’s steam engine, the turbogenerator central, the former Management House and a windmill, outside the factory’s perimeter.
