It is a bulky fruit of green plain skin (plain sugar-apple) or of scaly skin (scaly sugar-apple). Plain fruits have thin skin with U-shaped halos and no relieves. The pulp is condensed, hard and sweet with a few seeds. Scaly fruits have thick skin with deeper halos and raised margins. Their pulp is juicy, white, soft and quite sweet.
