Glass-making art (made of fine grained-sand mixed with used glass and chemical products) was firstly implemented in Portugal by British man Stephenes, leading the way to the characteristic know-how of Marinha Grande. The Glass Museum, opened in 1998, is housed in the Stephenes Museum, a noble venue that pays homage to glass-making tradition.
