Carcasses of calf, cow and bull of the Marinhoa breed, a breed of one of the most fertile regions of the country, the Vouga river basin, particularly in the Ria de Aveiro. Calves are breastfed up to 4-5 months of age. The first mention of this breed dates back to 1870. In the nineteen forties, a monographic survey established the association between this breed and the environment where it is raised, describing its typical features and production systems.
