Veal carcasses of animals of Mertolenga breed. Their food is based on natural and improved pastures. The origin of the name refers to a type of cattle that was well adapted to highlands of Mértola and Alcoutim. It was from here that these animals have spread throughout the Alentejo and Ribatejo.
