Spread throughout the coastline of the smallest Azorean island, mills are a quite typical landmark of Corvo green landscape. These mills are built in black stone and inside the axis is driven by a skilful mechanism, so that the rectangular-shaped sail can constantly follow the winds. These mills are the most similar to the ones that Moors left in the mainland.
