The Youth Hostel of Mina - Fundão opened in February 2007 and is located on a privileged site: a mining village with a collection of Housing and Industrial Archaeology unique in the country. Here you can visit the Antiga Lavradia das Minas da Panasqueira and see how our ancestors lived. Its proximity to the River Zêzere allows you to do mountain biking, abseiling, paintball, climbing, shooting, rafting and more. Other sites to visit are the villages of shale and the Paleolithic cave painting of Zêzere.
