Misericórdia Church is a 15th century temple signed by Miguel de Arruda. The interior design of this hall-church is very typical of Misericórdia churches all over the country, since the main chapel is integrated in the nave, placed in a slightly elevated spot. It was restored after the 1755 earthquake. The façade is lavishly decorated in Rococo style.
