This church was built, because Silves was donated to Queen Dona Leonor in 1491. The exterior is sobre and unornamented, while the portal presents classical lines and a triangular front. In the side façade, you will observe a Manueline style door, whose ashlar masonry is formed by trunks, leaves and strange faces. In the interior, you should draw your attention to seven paintings – depicting the seven charity works – painted in 17th century wood. (National Trust Building)
