Montijo Municipal Museum is situated in the historical quarter of the city, housed in a late 19th century house that once belonged to the Tavares Mora family. This museum values the architectural richness of the building, while creating a place for the promotion of council’s cultural heritage. The permanent exhibit includes objects that belonged to Town Hall or that were bought for the museum. The main goal of the museum is to promote contemporary Montijo, as well as the interesting aspects of its history.
