Situated in the ancient town centre, Odivelas Main Church is a sumptuous temple, which was rebuilt in the end of the 17th century and restored in the following century. At the top of the 16th century staircase, leading to the entrance, you will find a Calvary that dates back to 1626. The interior, decorated with 17th century tile panels, has seven altars in gilt carved wood and two red marble baptismal fonts in Rococo style. The main chapel (18th century) is covered by multicoloured marble both in the walls and in the ceiling.
