Overlooking Lucefece river, this 17th century stands out for its vernacular taste, sombre exterior and lavishly decorated interior with naïf wall paintings depicting anachronistic religious, landscape and maritime themes. D. Gonçalo (1290) is buried in the interior of the church, covered by wall painting dating back to the beginning of the 18th century. His tombstone was found in 1728, and it is still preserved in present day.
