The Ecoteca do Pico is dedicated to the incentive of using new teaching and aid techniques and methodologies to help the carrying out of work related to the Natural Reserve of the Montanha do Pico. It intends to give value to the natural patrimony of the island, to recognise its diversity and the importance of the vegetation on the mountain, to identify the main species on the mountain, promote outdoor activities.
