The Poço Velho is a large caved necropolis with various galleries connected between themselves by small corridors and a small salt lake. They were used primarily as a necropolis during the Late Neolithic/Chalcolithic times and its occupation prolonged itself until the Bronze Age and Visigoth period. Its estate (limestone/idol cylinders. Slates of schist, ornaments and various tools) are on display in the museum of Portuguese Geological Services. Classified as a Property with Public Interest in 1967.
