The Porto Planetarium hosts 93 people under a 12.5m diameter dome, where they can attend sessions with the regular duration of 40 minutes, suitable for all ages. The Planetarium has an auditorium with capacity for 60 seats, a bar and a shop where you can buy books and several articles related to the amazing world of astronomy. This project main objectives are to support and promote astronomy, including: scientific research, graduation and post graduation training, the organization of conferences, courses and seminars;
teaching astronomy to the non-tertiary education level (primary and secondary education) and dissemination of science and promotion of scientific culture.
