Access: Other than regional roads, there are various other ways to get to the Quinta Nova de Nª Sra. do Carmo: Boat ( Ferrão) Train ( Ferrão) Helicopter (Farm). In any of the cases, the team at the Hotel Rural Burmester will take care of the transfer of guests to the farm. Road itinerary: From the airport, follow towards the A4 Vila Real direction; at the end of the motorway in Amarante, you have two ways to get to the Hotel Rural Burmester: 1. Through Mesão Frio - exit towards Mesão Frio (E.N. 101). Continue in the direction of Régua (E.N. 108). Follow Pinhão (E.N. 222) and cross the village. When you get to the Pinhão Bridge at the crossing to Sabrosa, turn left towards Covas do Douro. Follow straight ahead towards the Ferrão crossing, turn left and you will start going downhill. The Quinta Nova de Nª Sra do Carmo is on the left hand side. 2. Through Vila Real - take the IP4 until Vila Real. Exit towards Vila Real Norte/Chaves. Go round the round-a-bout towards Sabrosa (E.N. 322). Pass the Palácio de Mateus and continue straight ahead until you get to S. Martinho de Anta. Turn right towards Paradela de Guiães/Gouvinhas. Pass by villages and when you begin to reach Ferrão stopping place turn left towards the farm.
