Consisting of a wooden toothed stick with about 70 cm in length, the reque-reque is a rhythm instrument that appears, for example, in groups' festival performances and at the time of singing the "Janeiras".
Some are made of wood, carved with human or animal burlesque figures. Besides Guimarães, they are also made in Barcelos and Viana do Castelo.
