National Monument since 1949, the Roman City of Anmaia may have been founded few years after the Roman settlement in the Iberian Peninsula. Part of the Roman path and the bridge known as Old Bridge over Sever river are included in the ruins, situated a few kilometres away from Marvão, in Portalegre direction.
