Évora Roman Temple, city’s major highlight, is almost 2 thousand-years-old. These ruins are among the best preserved Roman ruins in the Iberian Peninsula. The podium is almost complete, as well as most of the Corinthian column (complete in the north wing, along with its architrave). The Roman temple was restored in the 19th century, freed from the surrounding walls. It is situated near the cathedral and Lóios Convent.
