Description of the place: Situated almost halfway between Mirandela and Macedo de Cavaleiros, this village of Trás-os-Montes region with a rather uncommon name has plenty of tourism highlights, especially well-kept houses. They benefited from important improvement works during the dictatorship period. This village has also a Curiosity Museum (a simple location, where visitors can find several testimonies of rural lifestyle evolution, from cars to agricultural utensils, including bikes and portable material related to cinema). In the Medieval Age, a building of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem existed here, later known as the Order of Malta. Clemente Meneres, an agricultural and industrial businessman who settled in the village by the end of the 19th century, was responsible for the current layout of the village. He devoted his life to olive oil production, implementing a quite revolutionary system for that time.

Points of interest: View scene from the mountain of Nossa Senhora de Jerusalém, as also from the Quadraçal stream.
