The "rosquilhas", donuts, are one of the candies which presence is compulsory at the celebrations of the Holy Spirit, serving also as decoration for some elements of the procession, as the açafates. One of the highlights of the celebration is the distribution of the "rosquilhas" by the population as a symbol of solidarity and friendship.
