It is a Baroque temple with some décor elements of Mannerism taste. Side portals are lavishly decorated with geometrical flower motifs, while the interior has 17th century Baroque altars in gilt carved wood. Senhora da Piedade Chapel, where Sampaio Counts (who were given Vila Flor after D. João II) are buried, is also worth highlighting. Their coat of arms can also be found here. This church has highly valuable pieces. Some of them were already exhibited in the Vatican. (National Trust Building)
