Finished in August of 1490, this Gothic temple was built by D. Manuel I, when he was Duke of Beja and manager of the Order of Christ. Among its most beautiful elements, it is worth mentioning a sculpture of Nossa Senhora de Finisterra and another one of São Tiago. The altarpiece of Sacramento Chapel was conceived by João Ruão, an important Renaissance sculptor of Coimbra.
