Once the municipal abattoir, this modern building (renovated and enlarged in 2007) is now dedicated to the theme of emigration. It is located in Melgaço and tells the story of those who in the 60s and 70s departed from here in search of a better future. Here are depicted the housing and working conditions of those immigrants. The issue of smuggling in the region is also addressed.
