Carcasses obtained from lambs of the Churra da Terra Quente Breed, coming from crosses between the Mondegueira and Badana breeds, with less than 12 kg liveweight. The traditional management of these animals, which feed primarily on weed, is associated with the exploitation of olive groves in the region of Tras-os-Montes, and their manure used as fertilizer. Already in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries surveys were published on the importance of these animals in Trás-os-Montes economy, mainly due to the production of milk and wool.
