This is a very beautiful spot, situated in Quiaios National Forest, north from Figueira da Foz city and beyond Boa Viagem mountain. Surrounded by green fields, this water mirror covers a 70 ha area. In its surroundings, you will find terraces, bars and pick nick parks. It is also a refuge of aquatic birds. From 1992 to 1993, Forest Institute has built here a bird observatory and it also converted an old building into a Centre for Environmental Education.
