Little has remained of the former Vila Flor Medieval Castle, built in 1286 in Vila Flor by D. Dinis, only D. Dinis Arch (or Village Door), one of the five arched doors of the former wall. The main door is involved by a square tower, along with two further defensive towers of semicircular plan. The castle was integrated in one of the pilgrimage route of St. James’ Way that led to Castile. (National Trust Building)
