In the localities of Olho Marinho and Alveite, we find artisans that make this kind of works. Millstones were used in water mills, caster wheels and pressrooms. Nowadays they have been reduced to small 60cm stones for electric cereal mills. This handicraft is deeply related to the existence of a good regional raw material - fine-grained stoneware.
